Ever want to workout in an exclusive Beverly Hills gym?
Here’s what members had to say about SkySport Spa, the ultra exclusive fitness that bills itself as “the most exclusive gym in L.A.” The facility featured on Bravo’s T.V. Series “Workout”.
First the listing:

And some reviews courtesy of Yelp:
“Yes, this is the same gym featured on the Bravo series WORK OUT. It is, indeed, the real deal but, after working out here for a number of months, I’ve moved to the Gym on Nemo. Why? While the views from this penthouse gym can’t be beat, for the prices owner Jackie Warner charges, the space is rather small and there is not a great deal of variety to the equipment. I’ve traded inspiring views for a bigger gym that is, in my opinion, even better run than Sky Sport.” - Ron H.
If the show Work Out came out before I came to exercise at this place I would have never gone. That show is so high drama and makes some of the trainers look like idiotic spoiled valley brats. Overall the place is amazing. It has never been too crowded and the view is great. If you want a serious trainer (who isn’t trying to get ahead being an actor) ask for Ian - he is wonderful!” - Liz M.
And a negative experience by sandy posted on complaints.com:
“I was referred to Sky Sport & Spa after having spine surgery resulting from a violent crime. The people mentioned above were extremely rude and made it clear they cared ZERO about clients…” (read rest)

Protein shakes are a great way to supply your body with convenient nutrition and replace nutrients lost during exercise. However, all protein shakes are not created equal. In the spirit of providing you with a recipe that provides the greatest nutrient density for the least amount of calories, body builders and personal trainers usually have the best formulations.

Here’s one from Jackie Warner’s Workout at Skysport Spa:

How Watching Celebrity Fit Club Can Get You In Shape
September 6th, 2006 — General
Ahhh. There’s nothing like watching celebrities. Their beauty and grace is only matched by their larger than life appearance. It’s quite interesting to see those who have fallen from their celebrity pedestal. Now, “larger than life” applies to their thighs rather than their persona.
Did their celebrity destroy their health and fitness or did their lack of health and fitness destroy their celebrity?
Underneath it all celebrities are just people. They struggle with the same health and fitness challenges we all do. Next time you are jealous of a celebrity’s looks or physique remember the lessons of Celebrity Fit Club - the best genetics, plastic surgeons and spas are useless if you don’t follow a healthy fit lifestyle that includes proper exercise and nutrition.
So how can watching the show get you in shape? It condenses the pain and pleasure cycle from years to an hour. What does this mean?
You get to see the pain that occurs from neglecting your body year after year. The pain that results from over eating, drinking and partying. This doesn’t happen overnight and that’s why it sneaks up on us. But when you see the accumulated fat on a once trim celebrity it gives us a fast perspective on how days of neglect add up in our lives.
The show also shows you the pleasure of reconnecting with your body. It shows the positive emotion that comes from taking care of yourself. It’s motivating to see a celebrity who has fallen from grace catch a glimpse of their mistakes and sense their dormant potential. It shows us it’s never to late and that at some point health and vitality become more important than “being thin”.
Finally - check out some solid advice from Dr. Katz, the shows nutrition advisor. Here is a guy who provides solid information and a plan that gets results.

Jackie Warner Workout and Client Sarah - A Match Made In TV Heaven
August 14th, 2006 — Celebrity Workouts, Workouts, Television, General
For those of you watching Jackie Warner workout her latest client Sarah on Bravo’s Workout T.V. series - remember to separate fantasy from reality.
It seems the Jackie / Sarah connection has less to do with Sarah’s physical conditioning and more to do with publicity.
Is it really Jackie Warner trainer expertise Sarah’s after or Jackie Warner workout TV exposure. Is the appearance on the show strictly to start getting more commercial face time? You be the judge.
The actual workout may or may not be real but the publicity strategy is looks very real. It seems Jackie’s client Sara or Sarah Siegel-Magness is looking for a way to break into TV land. Penny Parker Of The Rocky Mountain Post reports:
Sarah Siegel-Magness has lived life as daughter to Celestial Seasonings czar Mo Siegel, CEO of the SoLow clothing line, wife of gahzillionaire Gary Magness and mother of two. Siegel-Magness also has been exploring her options in TV.
“I’ve been pitching five networks for a show about me,” Siegel-Magness told me during a phone interview from her upstate New York lake house. “I wanted to do a show where I starred in it.”
S-M and her manager (and Rocky Mountain News stylist) Tobie Orr are pitching the project as a docudrama focusing on Sarah’s professional life.
When the pair took the idea to Bravo, folks at the cable network wanted to see Sarah get more TV face time first, so they cast her in the new series Work Out, a six-episode reality show featuring Jackie Warner, the high-profile owner of chi-chi Sky Sport and Spa in Beverly Hills. The series, which premiered July 19, airs at 7 p.m. Tuesdays (including tonight).
Siegel-Magness, whose appearance was teased in the opening episode, makes her full-fledged character debut in the fourth show, airing Aug. 8. “It was a frigging blast,” she said about working out on Work Out. “Jackie is an incredible person, we had so much fun.”
They shot scenes at Siegel-Magness’ Palm Springs home. “A 10-minute workout with (Warner) and I was huffing and puffing,” she said. “It was hilarious.”
S-M’s next TV trip: playing in a celebrity poker event in Las Vegas that airs in October.
Meanwhile, SoLow is riding high. “I picked probably the most difficult business to be in, it’s so trendy,” she said. “But we’re going strong.”
Jessica Simpson Workout Plan Or How To Get Jessica Simpsons Legs
August 10th, 2006 — Celebrity Workouts, Workouts, Flatten Your Abs, General

Jessica Simpson is known for having a great body.
She has a classic mesomorphic body type, which mean she has a good genetic ration of muscle to fat.
Mesomorphs also have a wider shoulder structure, thinner waists and tapered legs.Jessica
Jessica Simpsons body structure allows her to sculpt and shape aesthetic musculature. Combined with a low calorie, low refined sugar diet and aerobic exercise - the results from the picture left speak for themselves.
In preparing for her role as Daisy Duke her personal trainer, Mike Alexander, put her on in intensive regimen. Reports USA Today:
“Jessica wanted more of a bump for her rear end instead of a flat butt,” says Alexander, who works at Beverly Hills’ Sports Club LA. He trained Simpson there nearly every day — one hour with weights and a half-hour of cardio.
To achieve a toned butt and legs, Simpson took on a rigorous program of lunges and squats while holding 7½-pound weights.
This type of compound movement training is typical for celebrities trying to get in shape quickly for a role. When you work large muscle groups at the same time there is a greater caloric cost and you are more likely to increase metabolic boosting lean muscle mass.
Here’s an effective workout if you want to do many of the same exercises from Jessica Simpson’s workout plan.

Jackie Warner Diet or What Jackie Warner Eats On Weekends
August 9th, 2006 — Diet, Flatten Your Abs, Television, General

Â
Â
Any time you have great abs and appear on T.V. people want to know how you do it. So while to my knowledge there is no official Jackie Warner Diet Book out yet, she has alluded to her dietary philosophy and daily diet on the show.
Here is what might be a good representation of Jackie Warner’s diet:
Eat Well During The Week, Reward on Weekends
Jackie tells AfterEllen.com “You need to eat like you’re working; take it seriously, weekends are your cheat days. I’ll have a box of candy at a movie on the weekends.”
Limit Sugar Intake
She goes on to say, “I’m not about deprivation. Sugar addiction is hard to kick, but if you limit it to two days a week, eventually you’ll want and need less.”
Coffee
In the show, there is a perpetual “tall” Starbucks coffee on Jackie’s desk. Knowing her position on sugar, I bet it’s black. Not surprising as black coffee has no calories and caffeine has known fat burning properties.
Eat Protein and Fruit
She recommends this many times on the show.  Ms. Warner most likely eats any number of fruits which are naturally low calorie and high in fiber. She probably also chooses lean protein sources. She was eating scrambled eggs and melon for breakfast in one episode which is the perfect protein/fruit combo.
Book Me
For those of you who want more details on Jackie’s nutrition and fitness you won’t have to wait much longer. According to Jackie she’s writing a book. “My book will allow people to succeed. I’ve been in the trenches and have experienced human nature. I know what qualities are needed to do this long term.â€?
Jackie Warner and Rebecca’s Abdominal Workout
August 3rd, 2006 — General

Sky Sport and Spa trainer Rebecca shows moves probably inspired from Jackie Warners abs and oblique workout.  Â
Thanks to Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb™ for the heads up and a little more info about one of Skysport Spa’s most flirtatious trainer.Â
This 30-year-old beauty was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia and grew to love exercise because of her parents — her mom loves to do yoga and run in marathons while her father is a competitive power lifter.
She’s inherited some good genes to be doing what she’s doing today. In fact, both Rebecca and her father hold world records in bench pressing.
Fans of reality television might even remember seeing Rebecca as one-half of the third-place “Amazing Race” team from last season. Oh yeah, I remember her. Now she’s back on TV again doing what she does best — helping people get into shape!
